Caroline Grossman is the executive director of the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business—the hub for people committed to solving complex social and environmental challenges.
Over the past decade at Booth, Grossman has led global research partnerships, strengthened student and alumni engagement, and built bridges across Booth, the University of Chicago, and the broader social sector. She spearheads programs to help students and alumni apply business skills for social impact through nonprofit board service, social entrepreneurship, and experiential learning.
As an adjunct associate professor of strategy, Grossman has designed and taught multiple courses at Booth. Her Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Social Impact Practicum allows students to explore the firm’s role in society through real-world projects focused on sustainability, CSR, and global social impact.
Outside Booth, Grossman brings a broad background as an educator and business leader. She has taught at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and DePaul University and worked in brand management at Kraft Heinz and has held leadership roles on several nonprofit boards in the Chicagoland area.
